Awareness Campaigns And Breast Cancer Screening At Mashujaa Mnazi Mmoja

LALJI FOUNDATION is a Non-Government Organization. This Foundation aims to help people in different groups, especially those with special needs. The foundation already has Registration with the Government at the District level and Regional level. The Foundation is based on the Education, Health, Economic and orphanages sectors. Lalji Foundation decided to support the Health Sector by helping people with Breast cancer by free screening.   

 LALJI FOUNDATION donated 2,000,000/= Shillings for people to undergo free breast cancer screening and cervical screening. The breast and cervical cancer camp was organized by the Global Partnership Development Foundation (GPDF), Dar es Salaam Indian Women Association(DIWA), Ocean Road Cancer Institute(ORCI) and the Ministry of Health. The awareness campaign was conducted on 29th October 2023 in Mashujaa Mnazi Mmoja ground.

OBJECTIVES

  • To help people to know their health about breast cancer and get treatment faster
  • To get awareness campaigns and breast cancer screening.

Regional Chief medical officer of Dar es Salaam, Dr Rashid Mfaume has sought out the residents of the city, to set aside time to go for preliminary breast cancer screening to find out their health and to get treatment early for those who will be challenged.

MONITORING AND EVALUATION.

Monitoring and evaluation will be formed by LALJI FOUNDATION in collaboration with the other Partners, Global Partnership Development Foundation (GPDF), Dar es Salaam Indian Women Association(DIWA), Ocean Road Cancer Institute(ORCI) were responsible for the coordination, Monitoring and Evaluation work. The benefits of doing Monitoring and Evaluation help to understand the output of the project.
